Bossart
Neck bulbils, cloves, and bulbs

ORGANIC ONLY

Bossart

Artichoke
Allium Sativum Sativum

Personality profile: A bit more aggressive than it's Artichoke brother, Italian.

Cloves: 8-10 cloves per bulb.

Bulbils: Bossart is an Artichoke that sometimes produces neck bulbils and even a scape now and then, but not often.

Growing: A sturdy plant that wants to be harvested a little earlier than the others, even by Artichoke standards.

Harvest: Earlier than most.

Storage: No data on storage life yet.

Pedigree: Came to us from Bertie van der Mark of Lumby, BC, who purchased 3 bulbs from Castlegarlic at the Hills Garlic Festival in New Denver, BC, in 2004. We've not been able to track down any other source for Bossart and so have no idea where it got its name.
